I'm currently working on my own film projects, both in pre production. The core of my work are the questioning social structures, a critical view on society and authentic representation of marginalised groups.
Voltooid Leven [Fulfilled Life]
Mina en Frans, An older couple, decide that after a completed life, they want to pass away together. The euthanasia takes place in the presence of their daughter Eva. exactly the way they desired. But in the end, Mina stays behind after all.

Motivation
The possibility of euthanasia is limited in the Netherlands. A euthanasia request will only be approved in the case of unbearable and hopeless suffering, assessed as such by a doctor.
Two-thirds of all euthanasia requests are rejected every year.
In euthanasia policy, the interests of the surviving relatives outweigh those of the person who wishes euthanasia and there is little room for autonomy. A completed life looks different for everyone. A healthy life can also be completed. In a world where there is so much suffering, dying with dignity is a privilege. Why are so many people denied the opportunity to do this?
